When I see the wording on their menu saying ‘Sabar Menanti’ I was thinking, is that the name of the place or they are just telling us to ‘Wait Patiently’ ? haha ! Well, their service is fast, so I don’t have to wait too long for them to serve the food I order.

So where is this place exactly ? Well, Gemas Road Roti Canai | Sabar Menanti which is located at Gemas Road in Taman Kampar, Georgetown, Penang is now a very famous place for breakfast. When I arrive here at Gemas Road Roti Canai at around 10.00 am, there are already a lot of people standing in line waiting for place to sit. Thankfully, their service is fast, so that we don’t have to wait too long in line before we get a seating place, after making our order, it only take around 5 to 10 minutes for our food to be serve.

So what is that they serve here ? Gemas Road Roti Canai serve mainly on Roti Canai, there are many different type of Roti Canai to choose from, there are also food like Maggie Goreng, Bihun, Roti Bakar and a few more.

The one that I order is actually Roti Canai Ayam Special, where there is a big chunk of Chicken in it, a piece of Roti Canai, a slice of Cheese, a sunny side up egg and a lot a lot a lot of curry, in fact, it is overflowing with curry, something like how I used to order Roti Canai Tsunami ! haha .. Those were the days, now people no longer understand what Roti Canai Tsunami means, haha !

I feel that the Roti Canai Ayam Special suites its name for being special, haha ! This is the first time that I tried a Roti Canai with so many things put onto it. For me personally, I feel that the curry is too much because from the entire plate of Roti Canai, I can only taste the curry, the curry taste overwhelmed the other ingredient put into it. The piece of chicken is tasty and overall, the Roti Canai is good.
