England House | The Coffee Cottage @ Taman Belatuk, Nibong Tebal, Penang

The Coffee Cottage or better known as England House by the locals there was once a private land and building used for wedding photography or private wedding ceremony open only by special reservation only. Now England House is open for public and the owner turn it into a cafe name The Coffee Cottage. Without removing its previous decoration and design, England House is a very Instagramable place and if you like, you can still make special reservation to have your wedding photo taken here or your wedding reception here.

England House is divided into few different sections, where most of it is now turned into a cafe with seating place for customers to dine in. Some are outdoor spaces under the shady tree while some are indoor seating area with air condition.

Other than classic looking place to take photo, England House also serve some tasty food. If you look at their menu, you can find food and drinks like, Espresso, Cappuccino, Affogato, Cocoa, Sweet Potato Latte, Belgian Waffle, Donut, Muffin, Pastry, Cakes and more.

White Forest Waffle RM 22.00

White Forest Waffle here is tasty, the waffle is not just empty plain waffle, it has some flavor to it of which i can't figure out what. This makes the waffle good to eat even on its own. It is better when eat together with a cold scoop of ice cream on it. The ice cream is a scoop of Matcha and a scoop of Hojicha ice cream with some fruits at the side. 

Salted Caramel Cake RM 15.00

I also tried their Salted Caramel Cake. The salty taste of the cake is mild and the texture is soft. I was expecting the bottom layer to be made of cookies or something but seems like it is not. There are few choices of cakes on display at their counter, you can choose any cake you one and have them serve it over for you.

White London RM 17.00

Their White London coffee goes well with their Salted Caramel Cake. It was a great evening sipping coffee, eating cakes at the England House garden area under a tree with family. The coffee is actually a float that is why there is a scoop of ice cream on top of it. The sweetness of the ice cream offset the bitterness of the coffee, a good combination.

While you are there, you may also walk around England House area to take some photos for your instagram.
