I often heard people say that there is a restaurant in Penang that serve very nice Crab Porridge and everyone who know this place highly recommend me to come try their Crab Porridge. So i come and only after 3rd attempt only i manage to find a table as this place is always full every time i am here. Well, the crowd here says it all, that the food here is tasty !

Crab Porridge ( for 3 person ) RM 123.00

People said that their Crab Porridge is a must try, so that is exactly what i order. Their comment is right, the Crab Porridge is tasty and this is my favorite at this Cheng Hwa Seafood Porridge which is located at Nibong Tebal, Penang. Basically an average bowl size of Crab Porridge will have a half size of Crab inside it. The taste of the Crab is tasty and the porridge is not too salty. Because the Crab is dip inside the porridge, it makes the porridge has that sweet crab meat taste.

Seafood Porridge RM 27.00

Cheng Hwa Restaurant is actually a Seafood Porridge restaurant so they also serve other type of Porridge like Fish Porridge, Prawn Porridge and more. So that their customer can mix and match what they want to eat to try out all their Seafood Porridge here. My personal favorite is their Porridge regardless of what type of Porridge.

Tomyam Noodles RM 14.00

I also tried their tomyam noodles, which is a little salty and spicy but the taste is nice. There are some fishballs, prawn and vegetables inside the tomyam noodles.

Cheng Hwa Seafood Porridge is a seafood heaven for seafood lover. Apart from porridge they also serve some seafood side dish. My favorite side dish is their Octopus, it goes really well with the sauce that comes together with it. How should i say this, the Octopus is a little crunchy and it has smooth texture. It is actually tasteless if you eat it on its own but with the sauce, it is tasty !

Adding a little greens inside the diet is important after eating all the seafood, Cheng Hwa restaurant also serve some vegetables which comes with Oyster Sauce giving it flavour.

Dining here is nice, the food is tasty and the place is big. Service is a little slow, sometimes its hard to get the waiter's attention as they are busy walking around serving everyone there. This place is always full, so finding place to sit it hard but the food is definitely worth the wait. In terms of price, i feel that it is expensive but since it is a seafood restaurant, it is worth a try.
